The river Ligaja (Ilge, Ilgele) flows in Utena and Zarasai districts.
Length of the river 32 km, the basin area 122 km ². The source at Ruzgiskiai village, 7 km north from Tauragnai village. Flows to the northeast through the lakes Vaikesas, Sylis, Ilgis, Alksnis, Ligajai and Ligajikstis. Flows into the pond of Antaliepte (the lake Antalieptes marios) 6 km north from Salakas village. Average gradient 189 cm / km. Average rated discharge at the mouth 0.89 m³/s.

3.5 The Ligaja flows out from the lake Ligajykstis. The current fast. The banks high, in some places steep. In the river stones, in some places boulders, small rapids, shalows, fallen trees, strainers, low footbridges. The riverbed width 7-9 m.
